Welcome once again to our Thursday edition of" Hospitality at The Coffee Cottage." This is the last of the five hospitality senses, the sense of "Touch." Maybe you've heard the phrase of "line and texture" in the interior decorating world. What this means is you not only want to give your guests something appealing to the eye but also something that gives a three dimensional effect, something that can be touched, handled, or give the illusion of such. This look and feel can be accomplished by something as simple as a bowl full of shiny golden hued apples on a coffee table or fresh pine bows draped on a fireplace mantle.These fun ideas don't have to be anything extreme or time consuming, just use everyday things and make them come to life!!!Here are some fun tips that maybe will get your creative juices flowing!!

| Tip #1. You can find these apothecary jars at craft stores, or second-hand stores. Change them out year round!!!Artificial fruit can be found at craft stores, dollar stores,etc.... |

| Tip #2. The great idea in this decorative display is the pumpkin on the cake plate. Be adventurous and get a couple different sizes of plates and pumpkins , spray paint them all the same color to tie them together and use various colors of real or artificial pumpkins. Display on a table or counter with a garland of fall pip berries or foliage!! |

| Tip #3. Don't forget the outside decor!! These are such fun, get three different sized real or artificial pumpkins and a large planter-use sticker house numbers or the heavy duty plastic or iron ones-glue or stick on your house number, fun saying,or family monogram-add some fall foliage for a splash of pretty!!Place where you and your guests can enjoy them, either out doors or tucked in a corner!
